A beacon of hope to disengaged young people using creativity to open the door to learning and development
Lets start with Wac Arts College. It’s a well run College and the people are nice, even the big boss, ‘Big Daddy J’ is nice, he’s kind. The College provided me with unique editing software to improve my editing skills and the Tutors helped me through Digi-arts and showed me what to do in Music Tech and Film. I enjoyed my time here as a student.
I started my Internship on the 9th November, the day after I went to see Blade at the cinema for it’s 20th Anniversary (LOVE that film!) Ever since I’ve been an Intern I’ve done some work experience at Elstree Studios and have been working on a few projects for the College including the Promo here. I hope you enjoy it! Watch this:
Brandon has been an absolute pleasure to support as Wac Arts College first Intern and has shown not only a growing ability to respond to briefs and modify content for various different audiences but a great imagination, sense of humour and an intense and professional level of dedication to his work.
He recently completed work experience at Elstree Studios for Sassy Films where he gained valuable professional experience in Editing, Sound and Motion Graphics., with briefs including creating a Sting for a new toy range for Motion Graphics, Sound Design for an X-Files ‘Audible’ trailer on Pro-tools and editng a Sizzle for the Premiere of Alita: Battle Angel. The company said that he was a pleasure to have around and he thoroughly enjoyed his first experience of the world of work.
Brandon has shown that he is on track to pursue his goal to work in Creative Media Production in editing, animation, sound design and motion graphics with a view to possibly becoming a freelance editor and eventually working as a senior editor for Feature Films or an animator. He has consistently displayed an eagerness to learn new techniques and gain experience in his chosen fields.
He has recently completed an application for the Production Apprentice Scheme at the BBC and the College are currently working to source some more work experience in sound design, editing and animation.
As well as learning 2D Animation techniques Brandon has also been hard at work creating a personal tribute to the work of Stan Lee so watch this space!
